Donates 710 Books – Represents One for Every Child

(Conroe, TX—May 7, 2019) ARTAVIA, a 2,842-acre master-planned community in the Montgomery County/Conroe area, announced today it has teamed up with San Jacinto Elementary School, kicking off a Bright Futures campaign to encourage reading with a donation of 710 books totaling $9,000 to San Jacinto Elementary School Library.

“We wanted to find a meaningful way to give back to the community and after meeting with Conroe ISD and the school, it was clear that the biggest impact we could make was to donate a book representing one for every child,” said Linda Kilgore, Marketing Director for AIRIA Development Company, the developer of ARTAVIA. “Reading is where children find their voice and imagination and we are thrilled to help them on their journey to Bright Futures one book at a time.”

At the school’s annual Book Fair, ARTAVIA presented a check to San Jacinto principal Jamie Almond. As a treat, ARTAVIA gave each child a colorful t-shirt as an encouragement to read.

“We are so thankful to have ARTAVIA support San Jacinto Elementary and we look forward to the continued partnership between our school and ARTAVIA,” said Jamie Almond, Principal of San Jacinto Elementary.  “The donation of books provided by ARTAVIA will enrich our library and expand the literary options available for our San Jacinto Suns. Our students and staff are excited about the books and look forward to exploring different adventures through literature.”

Students living in ARTAVIA will attend the highly sought-after Conroe Independent School District, considered to be a destination district with significant growth. The community is currently planned to accommodate future Conroe ISD expansion with an on-site future school. Conroe ISD is estimated to grow to 76,000 students by 2028.

ARTAVIA is located north of the Grand Parkway, midway between I-45 and US 59, and south of SH 242. Homes in Phase I are expected to range in price from the $240,000s to the $500,000s. The development will bring approximately 5,200 homes to the area, and plans currently include over 120 acres of mixed-use, commercial and retail properties. The build out value is estimated to be $2.4 billion.

Construction on model homes will begin in early 2019 with expected completion by the summer. Builders will be announced soon. For more information and updates, visit artaviatx.com.
